Conducted research and development of prototype interactive Internet/Intranet sites, integrating the Magic 7 / IC Cola and Magic 8 Rapid Application Development Environments with Internet/Intranet technology.
Upgraded the SPHS corporate web site to make it compatible with a greater range of browser technology, and brought the site into greater compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act accessibility guidelines while maintaining a modern graphical look and feel.
Played a substantial role in the implementation of the Strategic Computer Network Plan.
Served on the multi-corporation Strategic Planning Committee, and conducted specific research into new MIS upgrade options.
1991-1993 collaborated with K.G. Englehardt, internationally known human services robotics researcher, in the development of several robotic and voice control assistive technology projects. The Robotic Work Station project at PNC Bank, which is a voice controlled IBM mainframe interface and robot arm, has received world wide publicity and is the best known of these projects. Wrote software in C, RAPL (Robotic Application Programming Language), and Dragon Systems voice overlay language for these systems. Devised two-P.C. scheme for Robotic Work Station which allowed the project to proceed. Continued collaboration in assistive technology development and provision to persons with physical disabilities.
